When a patient uses Sodam
Sodam is a patient-controlled record tool. This is general product information, not legal or medical advice.
Product and workflow
What can patients capture?
Symptoms, questions, personal notes, visit details, and consented recordings. Patients manage their records and sharing.
What if recording is not appropriate?
Anyone can decline. Sodam does not encourage recording without consent, and patients can use notes without recording.
What does AI do?
It organizes conversations and notes into a readable format. Results may be wrong and do not generate diagnoses or prescriptions.
Do clinicians need to correct it?
There is no obligation to review a patient’s personal summary. Patients should compare important details with official instructions and records.
Legal and privacy considerations
Is recording lawful in Korea?
Even when a participant records their own conversation, clinic policy, third-party privacy, and sensitive information may matter. Sodam recommends explicit consent from everyone present.
Does Sodam comply with Korea’s PIPA?
We are designing around data minimization and user control with Korean privacy law in mind. This is not a guarantee or certification; legal review is required before launch.
Is Sodam a medical device?
Sodam is planned as a personal record tool, not for diagnosis, prediction, or treatment decisions. Classification depends on actual features and operation, and requires authoritative review.
Does it provide medical advice?
No. Health and treatment decisions should be discussed with a qualified clinician. Contact local emergency services in an emergency.
Prepare for your next appointment.
Sodam brings everyday symptoms and visit details together, helping you remember the conversations that matter.
